Planning a brunch can be a hassle. You want to it to be beautiful, and well… let’s face it, you also want to impress your company coming over. The problem is when you bring all those elements together, it is a lot of work for you, and pleasure for them.

I am strong believer that the host of a party, should also enjoy the party. For the majority of the time that is not the case. The host ends up waking up at some awful hour in the morning, have to rush through preparing everything and making sure it is all warm by the time it reaches the table and is served to company.

I can help you avoid ALL of that in this post.

1. Have as many cold/room temperature items as you can

My go-to’s when I am planning a brunch are fruit plates, vegetable plates, cheese, salami and cracker plates; all of these items that do bring the brunch together, adding this element of bougie, without all the cooking and work involved. These are plates that you can fix the night before, wrap them and put them in the fridge. It doesn’t have to be all in the morning.

2. Overnight Casseroles ALL THE WAY

Overnight casseroles will give you this beautiful brunch dish, without having to make in the morning. I always enjoy a great overnight French toast. I buy the bakery fresh bread, and then make my egg mixture, put it on top and let it sit in the fridge overnight or longer. Sometimes I make it in the afternoon, allowing the bread to really soak up all of the wonderful flavours.

For a whole loaf of bakery bread, I slice them into 0.5-1 inch slices, lay them in a baking dish and then make the following mixture to pour on top:

11 eggs

1/2 cup of Unsweetened Almond Milk

1/2 cup Cane Sugar

2 Tbsp Maple Syrup

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Crepes are another French delicacy that you can prepare the night before. Making small round crepes, then folding them up, placing them in a casserole dish and in the fridge.

All of these casseroles you can take out of the fridge 35-30 minutes before serving time, and put them in the oven right away.

3. Include Cute Accents and Dishes

When we include cute accents, like small plants, fancy spoons and even finding cute serving plates, it can tie the whole brunch together, without adding any extra work.

Try this for your next brunch and let me know in the comments how it turns out.
