The advice that changed the way I looked at goals

I love goals. I love to set goals, achieve goals and work on goals, but it wasn’t until I started reading more about personal development and growth mindset did I begin to understand objectives in a whole new light.

If you have been following me for a while, you know that I have been following Ms. Rachel Hollis for some time now, and in one of her talks, she spoke about goals and how when we write goals, we should look at them as if they have already happened; we should write them in the tense in which they have already happened.

The first time I heard this, I thought it was pure bonkers. “Why would I write a goal like it was something I have already achieved?” Then I started doing it.

This piece of advice changed my life and the way that I view goals because when I write in the present tense, I cannot give up, I cannot quit, I cannot put it to the side, because if I am writing that, it happened, it now needs to happen.

I have been successful with so many goals because of that mindset. I share this information with you; I pass on this knowledge and new understanding to you because everyone deserves the chance to pursue goals and believe in their worth and value when it comes to their destinations.
