Gabi is the developer and owner of C6Beauty, “a Düsseldorf-based blog dedicated to the art of zero waste and natural beauty.” Prior to becoming a blogger Gabi spent years studying chemistry and obtaining her doctorate. It was through her education and scientific background that Gabi became passionate about developing her own homemade products. She finds joy in studying the ingredients, discovering the benefits and teaching others about it. Throughout her life she has lived in different countries, this experience has allowed her to translate her blog into three languages, reaching a broader and curious audience.
Empowerment
Gabi’s take on life has allowed her to aspire to inspire. Her goal is to encourage others to become creative, she explains that “we live in a fast-changing world, where everything we want is just a click away. This makes us forget how creative we can be.” Through her own experiences, she hopes to spark a sense of inventiveness in others, allowing them to pursue a vision.
This aspiration has allowed her to explore her inner self, engaging in reflection and growth. Coming to the enlightening conclusion that empowerment is the very foundation of her blog and her stance as a blogger. This reflects on how empowerment is being aware of the abilities that we have and using them for our personal growth, to create something unique and effective. She explains that “when energy and effort are channelled into empowering skills and they bring positive results, this certainly helps our soul.” It that understanding of self that allows us to feel the empowerment that Gabi explains.
Passion
Passion is the base, the foundation of the house in which we become. This is how Gabi views passion, she explains that it “makes time fly while we do what we love, it keeps us constantly active to search for new ideas. It’s a stimulus and I think it’s important to grow them every day.” Her view on passion is motivating. It demonstrates an understanding of life as a whole, as well as an individual.
When asked what connection she can make to the words “live passionately” she explains:
“This precise moment in my life is certainly described by the term “live passionately”. Since the opening of my blog I promised myself that I would use my passion to build something that would make me happy and proud. It’s thanks to this new passionate life that I publish recipes, advice, and courses to inspire people, who like me, want to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle.“
Dedication
Gabi explained that passion is the foundation, the base of our desires; however, this desire needs a throttle, that throttle is dedication. When we have an aspiration we need to “move our motivation and our effort to achieve them.”
Prior to beginning the blog she spent countless hours learning social networking; the complex details of creating a website; the legal aspects and even the way to structure a blog. Dedication brings life-long learning, because “without dedication, our passions would not be nurtured and consequently we would not be motivation.” It is that motivation that allows us to take on the idea of learning forever, because we fall for hard work that we put in each day.
Gabi explains that empowerment, passion and dedication are necessary for growth. She explains:
“These three concepts work simultaneously and must do so in order to achieve our goals. I believe that if even one of these factors were to be missing, it would be difficult to continue the journey we have undertaken. That is why I try to motivate myself and stay positive as much as possible. Chatting with followers, seeing the blog increase its traffic, answering my readers who ask me for advice helps me to fuel my passion. It gives me the awareness that I’m using my skills in the best way. It stimulates me to dedicate myself to all this even more. Always believe in yourself! Stay positive and motivated!“
