Day 3.
I seem to be gravitating towards cheese, which is funny because before cheese wasn’t something that I craved. We would have cheese in the house, but I would only eat it as a topping, not straight up; now I seem to crave it a lot more. My theory is the healthy fat that is in the cheese is what I am craving, seeing as I have eliminated the fat coming from the meet. Like I said yesterday, I said yesterday that I wanted to cut back on my cheese intake, so I am going to have to look into what other foods carry healthy fats. I know that almonds, avocado, and hummus carry healthy fats, I might start replacing some of my cheese intake with these food items.
My energy levels seem to be much higher than the last two days. I came home today and was able to make dinner, dessert and still dance around in the kitchen while doing it. Even though I notice that my body is craving more healthy fats because that is what it is lacking, it doesn’t seem to be lacking anything else. I am happy about the level of energy my body seems to be feeding me. It is nice to be able to wake up early, workout, going to work and come home without feeling completely exhausted.
The meal planning seems to be working, I seem to be eating everything that I plan, which is always a plus. I find that I am aware about everything that I am eating, everything that I am packing and what I put into my body. It is not that I becoming obsessed, but generally aware. I have realized what is giving me more energy, what is giving me less energy and when I need certain foods.
My water intake is still not the best, I am consuming around 2L of water a day, but I would like to have a little more; seeing as it is cold outside, I might start drinking more tea instead of the cold water, it might help. I will try tomorrow.
For supper tonight I tried this vegetarian lasagna recipe, and it turned out to be the best lasagna I have ever made!
We will see what tomorrow brings!
